SEA SERPENT

Found throughout the Oceans and Seas of Arcadia, Sea Serpents can be a hazard to shipping lanes and all manner of navigation. Small to mid-sized serpents can be encountered in large water ways and inland seas all the way down to large rivers and lakes. Truly monstrous sized Serpents have been encountered almost exclusively on the Oceans, but there is one encounter that was recorded as happening on The Libre Sea. They can be the size of two large tanker vessels, though this size of Serpent is rare and some of the stories surrounding encounters are in question, but there have been multiple, documented run-ins with the kind of colossal creature that has resulted in the complete loss of a ship(s).

There are many other large and dangerous ocean creatures but, by far, the Sea Serpent is the the most common and most likely to attack vessels.
